EVENT CANCELLED

In alignment with the CDC and local public health guidelines, United Way of Metro Chicago has made the conscious decision to cancel this year’s Stronger Neighborhood Awards Luncheon.

Our new “normal” seems to change by the day as we face challenges that were unthinkable just a few short weeks ago. United Way of Metro Chicago is proud to step up to bring relief to our neighbors most impacted. We’ve forged partnerships and rallied our community to launch the Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund. Every dollar, 100% of this effort, will go to organizations that provide food, money, shelter, and healthcare to those who need it most. We are proud of the part we are playing in this unprecedented effort.

However, canceling this year’s luncheon does not eliminate the need for United Way’s long-term annual work. The COVID crisis has shown just how fragile many of our communities are and the sustained need for continued investment is crystal clear.  Although we can't meet in person, our hope is that you will stay by our side as we continue our work of building stronger families – stronger neighborhoods – with a gift that you are comfortable with and makes sense for you.

Our neighbors need us now more than ever. Thank you for believing in our work and believing that together, we can make stronger families, stronger neighborhoods, and a stronger Chicago region.
