Landmarks Illinois is the state’s leading voice for historic preservation. From the rubble of the 1971 demolition of Adler and Sullivan’s masterpiece old Chicago Stock Exchange Building, Landmarks Illinois has grown to become a 2500 member statewide organization. Today, Landmarks Illinois preserves the character of our communities all throughout the state. From the historic treasures, to barns and bridges and more recent architectural works, they safeguard important sites and structures in every city, town, village and rural area in Illinois.
