Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation relentlessly pursues innovative means that accelerate the development of next-generation multiple myeloma treatments to extend the lives of patients and lead to a cure.

Founded in 1998 by twin sisters Kathy Giusti and Karen Andrews, today the MMRF is a model on how medical research should be conducted – through collaborative efforts, shared information and accountability measures – helping to extend the lives of patients with myeloma and having a lasting effect on all cancer patients. Since its inception, the MMRF has seen over $170 million invested in research and its innovative research model has been widely praised for transforming the drug development process from one that takes decades to one that produces results in a few years. The MMRF now stands as one of the nation’s most groundbreaking cancer research organizations.
