About Gilda’s Club Chicago
Gilda’s Club Chicago was created by a loving group of friends to honor the legacy of Gilda Radner, one of the most gifted comediennes of the 20th century. Since its opening on Valentine's Day 1998, the club has provided support to more than 50,000 members. The Club is located on North Wells Street in Chicago, with four hospital satellites: Mount Sinai Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital, Advocate Christ Medical Center, and Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Gilda’s Club is also a valued community partner, offering programing in safety net hospitals, clinics, schools, faith communities, and BCBSIL’s Blue Door Neighborhood Centers. Anyone whose life has been impacted by cancer can join, and all programs and services are provided 100% free of charge to members. A member of the Cancer Support Community, Gilda's Club Chicago is supported 100% by donations and grants and has raised over $30 million since its opening.
