United Way of Metro Chicago’s 2024 Stronger Neighborhoods Awards Luncheon returns at the Hilton Chicago on Thursday, May 30. The event celebrates the commitment of business, civic, nonprofit, and community leaders to build stronger neighborhoods and a stronger, more equitable Chicago region. Each year United Way recognizes honorees who exemplify what it means to LIVE UNITED.
The Andrew J. McKenna Leadership Award recognizes a Chicagoan who has exhibited long-standing corporate and civic leadership and a commitment to United Way’s vision to build stronger neighborhoods. The Corporate Leadership Award is presented in recognition of an organization’s steadfast partnership with United Way and dedication to empowering individuals and communities.
United Way is proud to announce that this year we will present the Andrew J. McKenna Leadership Award to David Casper, an individual whose selfless actions have encouraged others to step forward as civic leaders and philanthropists, improving the quality of life for countless individuals and families in the Chicago region.
The Corporate Leadership Award will be presented to Nicor Gas and accepted by Wendell Dallas, President and Chief Executive Officer, for the firm’s longstanding commitment to United Way.
The Community Leadership Award will be presented to Don V. Villar and recognizes an individual or organization who strives to strengthen communities across the region.
