Kellie K. McGinnis
Kellie McGinnis joined PJH & Associates, Inc. in 1998. Her start in fundraising and event management was completely by chance. Unsure as to which direction to take with her communications degree from Elmhurst College, and having to complete a required internship, she took a position with a local politician. Addressing constituent concerns wasn’t her cup of tea, but she did find a passion for the events and election cycle. After three years in the trenches, Kellie connected with PJH through the political realm, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Kellie loves details (almost too much), which is important not only in this line of work, but also in managing her other position as a domestic engineer (also known as wife and mother of three).
Fun Facts
Cubs or Sox? Having been born into a family of Cubs fans and married into one, I have no choice but to answer, “Cubs.” My grandfather would roll over in his grave if I said otherwise!
Hobbies: Does laundry count? Or elementary school homework? If I had more time between work, home and volunteering, you might find me reading, trying my hand at sewing or sneaking in a coveted nap. I love a good Little League game or ballet recital. Spending time with family tops my priority list!
If I could travel anywhere, I would go to… It is pretty much guaranteed you’ll find me on the shores of Lake Michigan as we spend summers kicking back at our lake house. I’m never more relaxed than when I have my feet in the sand and the sun on my face. I’d also like to see more of Europe, especially the Scandinavian countries, and head back to Hawaii.
Dogs or Cats? Dogs, no doubt. “Cat” is a bad word in our house (my apologies to cat lovers).
Favorite Time of Year: Fall. I love the sights, smells and sounds of the season (and a cozy sweater).
Favorite TV Show: I’m a PBS junkie. I also have a burning desire to appear on the Amazing Race someday!
